Anya17 - a unique contemporary opera

Anya17 is a new opera created by the team that brought you the lauded Eternal Voices, composed by 'British Composer Award' Winner Adam Gorb with libretto written by Ben Kaye and directed by the award winning director of Slave – A Question of Freedom, Caroline Clegg.

This challenging and highly relevant work aims to expose the desperate plight of sex trafficking victims in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

The world premiere of Anya17 was on 7th March 2012 in Liverpool UK with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Ensemble 10/10, and won the “Best Stage or Film Production Dealing with Human Trafficking” Award at the Anti-Slavery Day Media Awards 2012, promoted by the Human Trafficking Foundation.

Anya17 has now been to Liverpool, Manchester, Romania, Germany, San Francisco, and is coming to London in April 2016 (and later this year, Los Angeles).
