Anya17 is a new opera created by the team that brought you the lauded Eternal Voices, composed by 'British Composer Award' Winner Adam Gorb with libretto written by Ben Kaye and directed by the award winning director of Slave – A Question of Freedom, Caroline Clegg.
This challenging and highly relevant work aims to expose the desperate plight of sex trafficking victims in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Follow the progress of this unique one-of-a-kind project as it has progressed from Libretto to Score, through auditions and rehearsals, to its world premiere on 7th March 2012in Liverpool UK with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Ensemble 10/10, to its first performance outside the UK in Romania in October 2013 on the eve of International Anti-Slavery Day at the National Opera of Timişoara, with a mixed UK and Romanian cast.
Anya17's fully-staged premiere was performed amidst the stunning landscape of Thuringia at Kammerspiele des Meininger Theater inMeiningen, Germany in October 2013 and the American Premiere of Anya17 will be performed in the Marines' Memorial Theater in San Francisco in June 2014 by Opera Parallèle.
